What makes it feel different is timing. A burger patty is forgiving; a pancake is not. Each one needs to be poured, left to cook, and flipped at the right moment, and a batch that sits too long comes out dark. Customers judge the finished plate against their ticket, so a rushed order and a burnt one both cost you points.
A session is a string of short shifts. You serve a queue of regulars, collect tips, and use your earnings to fill out the shop. It suits five-minute breaks as well as longer stretches, because the game saves into a slot you pick when you start.
The whole game is played with the mouse. Click a customer to take their order, then drag the ticket onto the rail so it stays in view while you work. The buttons along the bottom move you between stations: one for the griddle, one for building the plate, one for drinks.
At the griddle you pour the batter, whether it is pancakes, French toast or waffles depending on the ticket. Flip each piece when it is ready, then move it to the build station. There you stack the pieces and add the toppings the ticket lists, in the order shown. Finish at the drink station, then hand the tray over. Papa's Cupcakeria and Papa's Donuteria are the other bakery-style shops, with more decorating and less griddle work. Papa's Pizzeria and Papa's Pastaria change the cooking step but keep the same ticket-and-station flow, so what you learn here carries over.
